About Burj Khalifa

Opened in Dubai in 2010, the Burj Khalifa is 828 m tall with more than 160 floors, and it has been the tallest building on Earth ever since. Its stepped, spiralling shape helps it shrug off the desert wind.

Lifts carry visitors to the observation decks in about a minute. Because the tower is so tall, people at the top see the sun set later than people at the bottom.

You reach this landmark at 116 points. It is landmark 5 of the 21 between the ground and the Moon, which waits at 930 points. Its real height is about 1.9 times that of the previous landmark, Empire State Building.

Answers are worth 0 to 100 points depending on how rare they are, so even a run of nothing but the rarest answers needs at least 2 holds to get here. A fall drops you to just below the last landmark you passed, so a landmark you have reached can slip away again. See how to play for the full rules.
